Mediterranean Youth Development Empowerment Action Lab (MYDEAL)

MYDEAL is an expansive transnational initiative designed to build capacity and foster collaboration with our partners in the Middle East and North Africa. Our core mission is to conduct in-depth research into current youth trends and issues, thereby gaining a clearer understanding of the challenges and opportunities faced by young people in the region. This critical insight enables us to produce research papers including policy recommendations, briefs, action plans, and case studies. These serve as vital tools for changemakers and stakeholders, guiding them in creating new opportunities that empower youth both personally and professionally. Our capacity-building approach is comprehensive, incorporating research, networking, training, and advocacy. MYDEAL consists of a series of dynamic activities and events and it is supported by several international partners and employs a co-funding model with funds from partners,.

Pathway to Civic Participation

A strategic project supported by the European Union's ERASMUS+ program to build the capacity of youth organizations in the field of civic education to help young people develop their social and life skills to participate meaningfully in civil society. This project responds to the needs of youth organizations for competencies and effective tools to train young people to become agents of positive change in society through participation in civic life. The project aims to create a civic empowerment program that truly responds to the needs of local youth and drives positive change in areas such as democracy, climate change, justice and human rights. The project also aims to build new empowerment paths, accelerate civic participation and civic education, and apply innovative methods and tools to bridge participation gaps and help communities keep pace with the rapid global changes that affect the local community.

SDG Intelligence

The project aims to reconnect youth with sustainable actions by providing a peaceful and meaningful pathway to be part of the solution through discussions and conversations that stimulate their creativity and critical thinking. The project aims to harness their intrinsic motivation for action, enhance their understanding of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and empower them to infuse these global goals into their local contexts. By fostering their critical thinking and problem-solving skills, the project seeks to transform the youth into informed changemakers who can contribute significantly to the social, economic, and environmental dimensions of sustainability, while enhancing their inclusion into the society in topics that matter to them.
